TBC 2016 - The Bhangra Competition Photos

So after covering two previous comps earlier this year (Capital Bhangra & TBC 2016 Uni) I was ready for the big one. This time it wasn’t University teams, it was the next level up. The best dancers in the country battling head-to-head for the crown of best team. The event sold out in record time and rightly so.

The focus backstage in the lead up to showtime was tense and focused. Nerves were definitely present and not many dancers were giving anything away. Come 7:30pm everyone had to be ready as the first team took to the stage. The atmosphere created by the typically Punjabi audience was warm and rapturous. Both bass-lines and adrenaline was pumping. Showtime!
