Reclaim Brixton made me so proud to be a born and bred South Londoner. Great to see all the things I associate with Brixton and the unity amongst humans I witnessed. When you speak to the people on the ground you realise it will not be easy but we have to unite.

There are a million different opinions on how to tackle the situation of extremely unequal and unfair change. Progress should not be determined by property prices and money alone. Either way, one thing that can be agreed on is that we need to come together and to be organised. This is for the people that believe in change and take action to make a difference. There are too many ideologies and opinions about what a protest should be about. Some want a peaceful protest and some want to smash windows. Each argument has its points and what is the hardest part here is communication between these two ideologies and how they can come together and take this problem by the scruff of the neck. The main point is that the first steps have been taken and we can progress and continue to fight the battle against social, class, racial, poverty, ethnic and cultural cleansing. At the end of the day people want to have shelter, eat and lead a happy life. When you suppress human beings, expect a reaction. These are the people of Brixton and this is the beginning of the uprising. Remember this is not just a Brixton problem but London as a whole. Let us unite.
